Membership

Membership of Wellington Orienteering Club is for a calendar year.

Orienteering Wellington typically hosts around 25 events per year. Member benefits include:

Discounted entry to club events. For club-level events hosted by us—for example, local sprints, Sunday orienteering, and Orienteer of the Year (OY)—the following are available with advanced registration:

  • 100% entry fee covered for premium members
  • 50% entry fee covered for standard members

Prioritised access to training held by the club.

Affiliation to Orienteering New Zealand (ONZ) and the Wellington Orienteering Association (WOA). These affiliations allow you participate in regional, national and international events without paying a significant levy.

Five-trip and ten-trip clipcards will be invalidated as of 2021. Members who currently hold clipcards can exchange these for credit.

Fees:

  • Senior (21 and over) - $40 for standard membership; $100 for a premium membership
  • Junior (20 and under) - $20 for standard membership; $50 for a premium membership
  • Junior (7 and under) - free

Your age is as of 31 December.

If joining in November or December, full fees are payable but membership runs to the end of the following year.

For the first time using this system, please follow the instructions above for a New Member.

If you registered in a previous year, in the new year you will receive an email with an invoice attached, to renew your membership.
