We collect your personal information in order to:

• provide benefits to club members and others who are interested in orienteering.

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter contact information, we will be unable to provide you with information about orienteering and related events.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you would like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at secretary@wellingtonorienteering.org.nz.

Photos, recordings and event results 

We take photos and recordings (including video) of orienteering events and event participants to help promote the sport of orienteering. Often this promotion occurs through social media, newsletters, and our website. 

Usually these photos and likenesses will be general in nature but occasionally individual participants may be the subject of photos and recordings. 

We do not require your consent in collecting and using content for these purposes. These are legitimate activities under the Privacy Act. However, if you would like to get in touch about our use of information, please contact us at secretary@wellingtonorienteering.org.nz.
